Small Plane Crashes In Sussex

A small plane crashed in Sussex County on Tuesday night, Aug. 27, authorities said.

According to the FAA, a single-engine Champion Citabria crashed in Sussex around 7 p.m.

New Jersey State Police said the plane crashed into a tree line on Main Street due to a fuel issue. The pilot suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized.

Only the pilot was on board. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will lead the investigation and will provide any updates.
